West Ham United interested in Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski

West Ham United are interested in signing James Tarkowski from Burnley in the January transfer window, according to The London Evening Standard. David Moyes’s West Ham are on the hunt for a new centre-back following the long-term injury to Kurt Zouma

Tarkowski is out of contract at Burnley at the end of the season. Newcastle United are also interested in securing the services of the 29-year-old defender. The Burnley no. 5 is actually interested in a move to West Ham in the middle of the season, but he is relaxed about his future.

West Ham are challenging for the Premier League top four this season. The London club are also playing in the Europa League. A transfer to the Hammers over Newcastle would be more appealing to Tarkowski.
