Who will sing the national anthem at Super Bowl LV, what time does it start and how long will it last?

It’s tradition in the United States to sing the national anthem before any major sporting even such as the Super Bowl. This year will be no exception and the anthem will have an added meaning after a turbulent year for the country both politically and socially.

As well as the stars on the field, there will be plenty of other big names who will be performing too.

Who will sing the national anthem before Super Bowl LV?

The Grammy-winning R&B and soul artist Jazmine Sullivan and country singer Erich Church will have the honour of singing the anthem before the game this year.

When will it be sung and how long will the anthem last?

The anthem will be sung before the start of the game at 17:30 (EST). As well as Sullivan and Church singing, the anthem will be interpreted in sign language by deaf rapper Warren “Wawa” Snipe who will be representing the National Association of the Deaf.

Singer H.E.R will perform the song “America the Beaufitul” and poet Amanda Gorman will read poetry in tribute to the honorary guests of the Super Bowl: teacher Trimaine Davis, chief nurse Suzie Dorner, and military veteran James Martin. Together, all these presentations will last approximately 10 minutes. These performances will last 10 minutes in total.

Which other artists will be there?

The star names which have been confirmed so far are Canadian artist The Weeknd, who will perform during the half-time show and Miley Cyrus who will perform the first ever ‘TikTok Tailgate’ before the game in honour of the country’s health care professionals.
