Atletico Madrid Light and four-wheel-drive
A Fiat Panda has been the talk of Atletico Madrid in the past week, as the retro vehicle was the car of choice for some of Los Colchoneros stars during the heavy snowfall in the Spanish capital.
Sime Vrsaljko, Mario Hermoso, Thomas Lemar and Yannick Carrasco managed to fit themselves inside the car on the way to training, with the latter behind the wheel, and a video was uploaded to Instagram which quickly went viral.
Some may be wondering just why millionaire footballers chose a 30-year-old car to drive to work when Ferraris and Lamborghinis are most likely parked in some of their driveways.
But there is a reason. Carrasco decided to drive the Fiat Panda and invite his teammates, all neighbours of his, to travel with him to the Wanda Metropolitano as the Italian car is one of the best in the world to drive on snow.
The famous off-road version of the car is a four-wheel drive, and moves perfectly through the icy roads of Madrid.
The useful all-wheel drive, its relatively light weight (less than 800 kilos) and its extremely thin wheels make the Panda one of the most efficient and safest for such conditions.
