Wolves ready to sell Adama Traore with Tottenham & West Ham interested

Wolves could be ready to listen to offers for Adama Traore, with Tottenham and West Ham both interested in the explosive forward.

Traore is yet to register a goal nor an assist this season, but no Premier League player has completed more dribbles per 90 minutes.

The Spaniard has long been linked with a move away from Wolves and according to the Telegraph, Wanderers may finally be forced to part with one of their prized assets in January.

Bruno Lage has made no secret of his desire to strengthen this month but with the club’s owners unwilling to back their head coach they could be forced into selling Traore in order to raise funds.

Wolves are said to be willing to consider offers in the region of £20m, which represents a significant decrease to the £40m they were demanding in the summer transfer window.

As well as wanting funds for new signings, another reason for Traore’s potential exit is that contract talks between club and player are still not bearing fruit.

90min first reported that negotiations had stalled back in November and little has changed in the months that have followed. His current deal is set to expire in 2023 and Wolves will be conscious of losing one of their best players for free if fresh terms cannot be agreed.

The queue of suitors for Traore in January is likely to be lengthy. Tottenham and West Ham could be tempted into making an offer, while Barcelona and Liverpool have both been linked in the past, as have Leeds United.

Spurs had two offers for the player rejected in the summer and 90min understands that they remain interested in signing Traore – even though Nuno Espirito Santo has left the club.
